Spit and sweat fly from the stage as the raw, angst driven energy of vocalist/guitarist, A.J. Lopez, fills the room.
Since 1997, the unrelenting passion and infectious drive of founder/songwriter A.J. Lopez has managed to make the Ambulance stand out amongst the mass of unsigned bands in Los Angeles. Produced by System of a Down songwriter/producer/guitarist Daron Malakian, the Ambulance's unique and explosive sound has continued to inspire the respect and recognition from both fans and musicians alike.
"My band has been through so much,…I have had members come and go, but I think the thing that keeps me going is the music...the Ambulance is just a name; the music is the most important part of the whole thing." - A.J. Lopez
In June of 2005, bassist, Abe Nesbitt joins the band…two weeks later the Ambulance starts recording their first full length album.
"...fitting into a particular genre has never appealed to me. Although I'm constantly inspired by music from all genres, my favorite stuff is usually unclassifiable, a quality that the Ambulance possesses. With elements of metal, punk, jazz, etc..., the music takes on its own unique sound. For me, the Ambulance is an outlet for trying new ideas without genre guidelines…if it works, it works. This is why I am here. It would be even better if A.J. wasn't such a fuckhead…" .............. - Abe Nesbitt (bass player #23 for The Ambulance)
The Ambulance, A.J. Lopez (vocals/guitar) and Abe Nesbitt (bassist), eagerly anticipate the completion of the album in late 2005.
